For the layer mask, my landscape image was bright white clouds, and my sky image was a sunset. I added a springy green tree with an "angel-like" girl sitting under it with a drop shadow to make her look more realistic and 3D. I added a gold 9 with a slight drop shadow and wings with an outer glow. I also added text say "cloud" (in a color eyedropped from the 9) above the nine with a drop shadow to make sure there was no confusion about the random 9 in my picture.
